Phoenix Tooling and Development is a well established and privately owned precision press toolmaker. This new company has been spun out of Cooke Brothers with its history of engineering advancements for over 100 years.
Phoenix deliver precision press tools to the Automotive, Architectural, Aerospace, Electronics and Domestic appliances markets. Phoenix Tooling and Development can also meet your subcontracted design, CNC Wire Erosion, and CNC Milling needs.
Major investment in the latest CAD/CAM systems, EDM machining and CNC Millers has resulted in a fast turnaround in tool design and manufacture, with multistage tools for presses from 50 tonnes to 500 tonnes capacity being the company's speciality. ISO 9001-2000, Investors In People, Advanced Quality Planning and Environmental Management System ISO 14000 have all been achieved for this service.
Phoenix Tooling and Development aim to provide a complete precision toolmaking service: from the initial concept, to prototype stage, through design and tool manufacture, inspection, testing and tool tryout, to final delivery to the client.
A wide range of development activities are undertaken. With particular expertise in designing and producing prototype solutions to hinging problems, latching mechanisms and pressed metal parts and assemblies, designed/machined & checked in 3D if required. Other activities include product development, design and production planning and tool tryouts.
Tooling life is particularly important for ensuring value for money. Phoenix Tooling & Development are always keen to discuss the latest tool materials and coating options with customers.
