NDE Clarke Transmissions Ltd are specialists in the design, manufacture and supply of a wide range of Driveshafts and Couplings for the Vehicle and Industrial / Marine markets.
Universal Driveshafts.
As well as standard Telescopic Driveshafts we can also offer Double Joint assemblies, Fixed Length, Mid Ship Shafts with support Bearings and Short Coupled Driveshafts.
Applications requiring wide-angle Flanges, long slip movement and balance grades to G6.3 tolerance can also be offered. Our computerised selection programme allows us to offer complete Driveshaft systems with minimal torsional twist or customised stiffness to suit a particular system. Bearing lifetime, critical speed and t.v.a studies can also be carried out.
Universal Driveshafts Light Duty
NDE Clarke Transmissions light duty range of Universal Driveshafts covers SAE range 1140 to 1510 and the DIN range from 58 mm to 150 mm Flange diameter. This gives a torque transmission range from 150 Nm up to 3120 Nm. Mechanics style Joints are also available for off highway applications.
Universal Driveshafts Medium Duty
NDE Clarke Transmissions medium duty range of Universal Driveshafts covers the SAE range from 1510 to 1900 and the DIN range from 120 mm to 250 mm Flange diameter. This gives a torque transmission range from 4000 Nm up to 24,000 Nm. Cross serrated Flanges from 120 mm to 180 mm diameter also fall within the range and any combination of the above can be supplied fitted to any of our Driveshafts.
Universal Driveshafts Heavy Duty
NDE Clarke Transmissions heavy duty range of Universal Driveshafts covers the DIN range from 225 mm to 435 mm. Flange diameter, face key design Flanges are also available. This gives a torque transmission range from 18,000 Nm to 270,000 Nm.
Flexible Disc Couplings
Our Flexi-disc range of flexible couplings offers an unrivalled package of performance, features and versatility.
Performance. The Flexi-disc range of metal disc couplings can transmit torques up to 260,000 Nm and accept maximum bore diameters up to 370 mm. High operating speeds up to 24,000 rpm can be achieved with dynamic balancing.
Features. Flexi-disc offers maintenance free operation, zero backlash, torsional rigidity, low reactional forces, good chemical and corrosion resistance with stainless steel disc packs and no fretting corrosion.
Versatility. Flexi-disc offers a multitude of different configurations including single element, double element, close coupled, dropout versions, variable length spacers and is also able to meet API 610 and API 671 specifications.
KUSEL COUPLINGS - How to cure the problem of torsional vibration
The introduction of a Kusel Coupling into the drive train will alter the natural frequency outside the normal operating speeds (normally below). By combining the torsional flexibility of the rubber elements with varying degrees of damping a Kusel Coupling can be selected to suit almost any application. The Kusel Coupling comes with a multitude of different mounting options to suit any mounting configuration. The Couplings can be supplied complete with a Cardan Shaft to offer a powerful combination of torsional and misalignment flexibility, in one Coupling/Shaft package.
Service and Repair
Our Service and Repair division can service and repair all makes of Driveshafts and for each Driveshaft returned to us we produce a detailed report on the condition of all major components. Collection of Driveshafts from your site can also be arranged.
