Innovative Thinking...

was required for Real World studios to regularly roll their 96 channel sound mixing studio desk from one position to another so that the studio could readily be transformed from a music recording facility into a film dubbing suite.  Xolve’s solution was to develop a system of portable ‘railway tracks’ for use with high capacity wheels and a cunning suspension system to replace the original fixed anti-vibration mountings.  Now the desk has a wheeled chassis and sits on the first part of the track with its wheels locked in place.   When it needs to move the next part of the track is laid, the desk is given a gentle push and the original piece of track is then lifted for reuse.  Sheer genius!

Creative Problem Solving...

helped overcome the physical limitations of space and geometry for the Take That Beautiful World tour.  This required a revolve which could house a baby grand piano below the stage, within a space which was too shallow….and it had to be light, durable and tourable.  The answer was for Xolve to develop the world’s thinnest touring revolve utilizing ultra thin yet ultra strong materials and shaving millimetres off every part

Protoyping...

can be vital to help prove something is possible when it hasn’t been done before.  For Xolve this is a regular phase in the design process but it is no less exciting for that.  Our recent project for George Michael’s 25 Live Tour involved the production of a prototype LED structure which went on to become the first ever modular LED floor/screen capable of holding the weight of performers and withstanding the rigors of touring.

Product Development...

is complex and the pressure to bring new products to market can be intense.  Xolve has experience dealing with this - examples include winches, lifting equipment, large format high-resolution display screens and accessories.
