The British Plastics Federation (BPF) is the leading trade association of the UK Plastics Industry (representing approximately 80% of turnover), a springboard for industry action, existing to exploit common opportunities and resolve shared problems. Membership encompasses polymer producers, suppliers and processors in addition to additive and machinery suppliers and manufacturers.

BPF Business Support Network

The BPF has taken an insightful step to support UK Plastic companies when selecting outsourced services. The Business Support Network aims to give executive decision-makers from the plastics industry a competitive advantage by highlighting 'best-in-class' suppliers, who are invited to join the network after recommendation by the BPF Membership.

Cogent

Cogent is the Sector Skills Council for the Oil and Gas Extraction, Chemicals Manufacturing, Petroleum and Polymer industries. Cogent works with employers and other partners to improve business performance through skills development. A voice for employers on matters of education and skills, a provider of tailored solutions to specific skills issues.

Packaging & Industrial Films Association (PIFA)

The Packaging and Industrial Films Association (PIFA) was established in 1957 to represent the interests of a £1.5 billion UK industry, which is proud of its contribution to the health and well-being of society.

PIFA represents an industry that supplies markets, which consume more than 1.3 million tonnes of plastic film, sheet and converted materials. PIFA is widely recognised as one of Britain's leading national trade organisations at the highest levels, both in this country and abroad.

Polymer Machinery Manufacturers & Distributors Association (PMMDA)

The PMMDA was originally formed in 1966 as the PMMDA (Polymer Machinery Manufacturers & Distributors Association). The eight founder companies set out to agree a range of standards for both UK manufacturers and distributors of foreign machinery. Three of these companies, Soag Limited, Industrial Plastics and Hamilton Machinery Sales, are still with PMMDA.
